South Philly Showdown: Kyrone Davis vs. Daijohn Gonzalez

Rising Star Promotions will promote a show at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia on June 20 with “South Philly Showdown.”

The main event will see Kyrone Davis (19-4-1, 6 KOs) face Daijohn Gonzalez (14-9, 8 KOs) in an eight-round middleweight bout. Davis, 31, of Wilmington, Delaware has shared the ring with David Benavidez and Anthony Dirrell, and now headlines a card after signing with the Thomas LaManna-led promotion.

Other fights scheduled for the card include Brandon Pizarro vs. Michael Lee, Mathew Gonzalez vs. Rani Jalomo, Ismail Muhammad vs. Danny Murray and Carlos Gonzalez vs. Oscar Barajas.

The undercard will feature several New Jersey fan favorites, including Dwyke Flemmings Jr. (11-1, 10 KOs), Gabriel Gerena (8-1, 6 KOs), Emmanuel “Salserito” Rodriguez (15-3, 8 KOs), plus Tahmir Smalls Muhammad, Oscar Barajas, Joshafat Ortiz, Ofacio Falcon Jr.

The event will take place at the 2300 Arena, located at 2300 S. Swanson St. in Philadelphia. Doors are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m., with the first bout expected to begin at 6:15 p.m.
