Emmanuel Chance of East Orange was awarded with the USA Boxing Trailblazer “GOAT” Award. Chance, 17, earned silver at the 2023 Youth Brandenburg Cup in Lindow, Germany. His older brother – unbeaten pro Rajon Chance – was on hand to introduce him.
Among senior boxers, Tyric Trapp, Jean Pierre Valencia and Alessandro Jaucian were given awards, while juniors boxers Cherish Love, Ramon Ordonez, Ezekiel Suarez, Qawi McFadden and Troy O’Connor were recognized for “stellar performance.”
The Barry Goss Memorial Award awarded to John Silogy, who trains out of Brunswick Boxing Stars, while Dr. Tony El-Amin received the Joe Grier Distinguished Fellow Award. Dr. Michael LePera, whose service at amateur shows has made them possible, received the Supporter of the Year Award.
