Jamar Talley finishes Basem Mamdouh in two on Usyk-Verhoeven card
Camden cruiserweight Jamar Talley remained unbeaten Saturday, scoring a second round knockout of Egypt’s Basem Mamdouh Saturday on the undercard of the Oleksandr Usyk-Rico Verhoeven event at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
Talley, a former Team USA boxer and three-time NJ Golden Gloves champion improved to 7-0 with his sixth knockout victory when he landed a pair of left hooks to the body which aired Mandouh out, bringing an end to the fight at the 1:51 mark. Mamdouh drops to 10-3 (4 KOs), snapping a three-fight winning streak for the Egyptian fighter.
The 26-year-old Talley has now knocked out his last three opponents since going the distance for the first time against Anthony Hollaway in September of 2025.
The six-round scheduled fight against Mamdouh comes on his biggest stage yet, on a DAZN pay-per-view undercard of a heavyweight championship fight as one of just two American fighters on the card.
