Weights for Brick City Friday Night Fights

Vito Mielnicki Jr. and Salim Larbi both came in at the 154-pound limit on Thursday ahead of their ten-round main event at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

The fight will headline the first installment of Brick City Friday Night Fights, a series promoted by GH3 Promotions which aims to host 3-4 fights per year at New Jersey’s premier indoor sports arena.

The 21-year-old Mielnicki (16-1, 11 knockouts) of Roseland, N.J. will be fighting for the second time under head trainer Ronnie Shields, and is fighting in his home state for the first time in two years. Larbi (22-12-3, 8 KOs) of Rahway, N.J. by way of France is a former world title challenger.

Ten other fights are slated for the card. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with first fight set for 6:10 p.m.

In other action, “Slick” Michael Anderson (23-3-1, 17 KOs) of Newark will face Eudy Bernardo (25-6, 18 KOs) of Elias Pina, Dominican Republic in a ten-round welterweight bout. Both fighters checked in at the same weight of 146.5 pounds. Anderson is riding a six-fight winning streak.

Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna (36-5-1, 15 KOs) of Millville, N.J. weighed in at 158 pounds for his ten-round middleweight bout with Nicolas Hernandez (28-7, 12 KOs) of Reading, Pa., who weighed in at 159.5 pounds. LaManna, who is rated no. 4 by the WBA at 160 pounds, is looking to extend a six-fight winning streak.

The card will be available to stream live on TrillerTV for a pay-per-view price of $19.99. The Mielnicki-Larbi fight will not be part of the stream, though the Johns-Camacho, Flemmings-Roman and Kroll-Archiebald fights will be available on a free preview.
